About The Jaffna Post
Our Mission
The Jaffna Post (TJP) began its journey in order to connect Jaffna Tamils with the rest of Sri Lanka and the diaspora across the globe.
The Founder recognised a real need for connecting Sri Lankans so that genuine difficulties and challenges of citizens who dwell in the regions of the North and East, can be addressed in constructive time frames.
“We the people for the people” is the approach that needs to adopted especially as Sri Lanka faces wave after wave of setbacks and crises.
Critical issues such as the ones highlighted on this site can be solved or addressed only by people working together in Sri Lanka and overseas.

Our Team
The Jaffna Post was founded by Vaseekaran Rajadurai in 2023. Vasee learned his passion for Media by working with his late father Kavaloor Rajadurai, the pride of the Jaffna Peninsula.
He was a scholar, writer, translator, broadcaster, artist and an entrepreneur who rendered service to his community and fraternity.
One of the feathers in Kavaloor Rajadurai’s crown was the film ‘Ponmani’ for which he was the executive producer and then script writer.
Further, he was the Founder of the family Advertising Company called Vashicara Advertising in 1979, the first ever advertising company founded by a Tamil Sri Lankan.
Vasee, a Sydney dweller, who is a fully qualified Chartered Management Accountant, continues his father’s footsteps. His service as the former elected Local Councilor of the Cumberland City Council (formerly the Holroyd City Council) and profession has always been inspired by working towards the betterment of the communities.
