Lionel Bopage is a community and political activist residing in Australia. He is President of the Australian Advocacy for Good Governance in Sri Lanka, collaboratively working towards creating awareness of the lack of democracy, accountability and good governance in Sri Lanka. Originally a science teacher, he firmly believe that advances in science and technology, and improvements in productivity and competitiveness need to be holistically used mainly for the benefit of the world, not for its destruction. In Australia, he has acted as an Examiner of Patents, and Senior Consultant in Engineering and Quality Management over the course of his career.
