Renske is a master’s student in International Development Studies at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. Previously, she studied Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology at the University of Amsterdam. Her expertise primarily lies with gender inequality and gender-based violence.
Currently, she is undertaking fieldwork-based research in Sri Lanka, combining ethnographic methods with an interest in women’s empowerment and livelihood rebuilding of women that have left abusive partners.
